Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
Standard III states that educators must be knowledgeable of the technology they are using, and be able to communicate the objectives of the lesson with that technology. The first step in communication of relevant information is the creation of a lesson plan. In my lesson plan I included lesson objectives so my students would know what information they needed to take away from the lesson. I used a variety of digital tools to then present those objectives. I created a podcast, video, and Google Docs and Slides. I also used Thinglink and Scoop.it to create an access for internet resources that I know to contain accurate information; they also promoted use of information resources to support research and learning. My learning goal for Standard II is to learn about technologies and assignments to go with them that would connect my students with other medical laboratory science students in the United States as well as around the world.
